CTE’s Culinary Arts had a full program review and site visit from the American Culinary Federation. The result of this visit was that our Culinary Arts Program received full preliminary accreditation from the ACF with very high marks. This process has taken several years to complete and is a huge accomplishment. It speaks highly of Mr. Hilligoss, his students, and the entire Culinary Arts Program. Congratulations to Mr. Hilligoss and the students of Culinary Arts!
Congratulation to Mr. Shawn Taylor (Automotive Technology Instructor) and two of his students, Brent Horner and Ryan Murray for placing 1st in the Ford AAA Student Auto Skills Competition. The competion was held in Baltimore and marks the first time PHS has placed 1st. Our school has had a team entered in this competition each year since 1988. The students and Mr. Taylor will now travel to Dearborn, Mich. in June to compete on the national level.
Special Thanks is also extended to Sherwood Ford for them loaning new vehicles to prepare for the event.
Job well done!
